When your trip has been delayed or canceled because of a force majeure situation — unforeseen events that are beyond our or carriers’ control — our standard Kiwi.com Guarantee doesn’t apply.
Such events include e.g., extreme weather conditions, earthquakes, strikes, carrier insolvencies, airport closures, pandemics, terrorist attacks, wars, or political instability.
COVID-19 is also considered a force majeure, but if you’re already traveling and the rest of your itinerary is affected because of a cancellation, schedule change, or a delay, we’ll do our best to help.
If we find out about a travel emergency that might affect your itinerary, we’ll notify you and send you your options. We might ask you to directly contact the affected carrier or airport. You should also check the status of your flights before you go to the airport.
If you can’t reach the carrier, contact us. We’ll do our best to assist you. However, in emergency situations, we might also find it difficult to reach them.
If you no longer wish to travel, or if you can’t travel, you can apply for a refund.
