Sharp objects are not permitted on the plane

Examples of sharp items that are prohibited from your cabin baggage:
  • Straight razors and razor blades
  • Sharp tipped scissors with blades measuring more than 6 cm (2.4 in)
  • Box cutters
  • Hatchets
  • Knives of any length
  • Saws, drills, and any tool with a head and shaft measuring more than 6 cm (2.4 in)
  • Game darts measuring more than 6 cm (2.4 in), as well as tackle boxes, fishing hooks/lures, crossbows and arrows.
Exception: Prescription medication that must be administered with a syringe or hypodermic needle may be allowed in your cabin baggage, for example, insulin. It must be accompanied with a prescription identifying the name of the medication and the issuing pharmacy or doctor.

It is the passenger's responsibility to ensure they're aware of the specific policies of the airlines and airports in their trip.
