This year, the Sony Awards received a record-breaking number of submissions. To be more precise, 327,000 images from 195 countries and territories entered the 2019 competition.
The winners of the ten diverse Open categories will now compete for the title of the Open Photographer of the Year. The overall winner will be announced on 17 April, winning $5,000.

The Sony Awards comprise four competitions in total: Professional, Open, Youth, and Student.
