Head to any of these places in Los Angeles – the world’s showbiz capital
Have you ever wanted to hang out with celebrities? Does the idea of dining, dancing or sipping a cocktail alongside A-listers in Los Angeles sound like a great night out? Head to any of these places in the world’s showbiz capital for the chance to do exactly that!
Bar Marmont at the Chateau Marmont
This legendary celeb hangout on West Sunset Boulevard has a garden terrace, an old-school Hollywood feel with moody decor and wonderful architecture, as well as a fabulous cocktail menu. The hotel guarantees “total discretion”, and is a favourite of the likes of Johnny Depp, Lady GaGa, Kit Harrington, Brad Pitt and Lindsay Lohan.
This shopping and dining complex is a favourite place for the LA glitterati to shop ’til they drop, so why shouldn’t you? Because of the variety of things to do, you’ll often see celebs such as Jennifer Garner, Ben Affleck, Chris Hemsworth and Gwen Stefani in hats and sunglasses, strolling with their families and friends.
Cafe Gratitude, Larchmont
There are three branches of vegan heaven Cafe Gratitude in the city, and this is the one to head to. Anne Hathaway, Ariana Grande, Jake Gyllenhaal and Emily Blunt are just four health-conscious stars who often dine here. Bear in mind though, that before you order, the waiting staff will ask you to tell them one thing you’re grateful for… and you need to answer!

This late-night Tex-Mex restaurant is a dark and cosy hangout where courting couples and celebs alike can enjoy a low-key dining experience. Lounging on leather banquettes or flirting in booths, you might see Selena Gomez, Chris Evans or Kate Hudson chatting over a margarita or two.
Escape the city for a while and head into the hills. You can hike this popular trail and burn off a bit of that LA overindulgence alongside joggers, dog walkers and actors using it as part of their fitness programme. Justin Timberlake, Jessica Biel and Kendall Jenner are all regular trail users.
The Polo Lounge
In the Golden Age of Hollywood, this was the place to see and be seen. Marlene Dietrich, Elizabeth Taylor and the Rat Pack all came here for cocktails, romance, flirty conversation and a bit of elegance. Nowadays, it’s a favourite haunt of Natalie Portman and Cameron Diaz, among others.
Oceana Hotel, Santa Monica
This chic hotel used to be a condominium complex, so all suites have a balcony that overlooks the Pacific Ocean. It’s situated in a quiet neighbourhood that’s located an easy walk from the beach, or from the shopping and restaurants of Montana Boulevard. No wonder Brendan Fraser, Ewan McGregor and even Arnie choose to stay here!
Nobu, West Hollywood
The original Nobu was in Malibu, but this new venue – their 17th – has become incredibly popular with the Los Angeles smart set due to its location. New age Japanese cuisine awaits you if you book ahead – there’s a month-long waiting-list – but if you do, you’ll be dining alongside David and Victoria Beckham, P. Diddy, Kanye West, Drew Barrymore and George Clooney.
STK and Coco de Ville
— A-List Communication (@AListCom) December 6, 2015
STK is an upmarket steak and seafood place, while next door at Coco de Ville there’s a speciality cocktail list, a tastefully wild interior and a DJ playing tunes that the venue itself describes as “eclectic Americana”. Courteney Cox, the Beckhams – again! – Kate Beckinsale and Lauren Conrad are among the stars who come here to eat and then chill.
Beso and The Kiss Lounge
Our final selection in Los Angeles is even owned by a celebrity, namely Eva Longoria Parker, and her restaurant lets people slide into beige leather booths or oversized dining chairs before eating and heading upstairs to the sexily-lit cocktail bar where you can lie on a banquette and watch kissing scenes from famous movies being played on the large flat-screen TVs, as celebs such as Jennifer Aniston, Orlando Bloom and Jason Bateman hang out.
