Can I enter Argentina?

You can enter Argentina if you follow the current COVID-19 requirements listed below.

Can I enter Argentina if I am vaccinated?

You can enter Argentina for tourism if you are vaccinated. You are considered fully vaccinated if you have received the full course of your vaccine at least 14 days before arriving in Argentina. 

At present, there are no special requirements concerning the brand of vaccine. Any vaccination approved in the country of travelers’ origin will be valid in Argentina.

Travel documents if I am fully vaccinated 

  • A completed Online Affidavit registration 48 hours before the flight to Argentina
  • A certificate confirming your vaccination status
  • A negative PCR test result obtained no more than 72 hours before arriving in Argentina
  • Medical insurance covering expenses related to COVID-19

Can I enter Argentina if I am unvaccinated?

Please note that unvaccinated foreign individuals are not permitted to enter Argentina for tourism. 

If you are unvaccinated, you can enter Argentina only under certain circumstances:

  • Visiting direct family members
  • Carrying out professional or business activities, studies or training, official missions, or partaking in sporting events
  • Having a visa in permanent or temporary immigration categories
  • Getting urgent medical treatment

Who cannot enter Argentina?

At present, there are no other COVID-19 requirements to enter Argentina other than those mentioned above. 

Can I leave Argentina?

You can leave Argentina. Nevertheless, COVID-19 regulations are still in place in every country. Please take your time to check the necessity of entry declarations and COVID-19 test results in your destination country in advance.

Travel documents if I am unvaccinated

  • A certificate of recovery from COVID-19 (no more than 180 days old before the day of crossing the border of a particular country) or
  • A negative COVID-19 test result (the relevant period and kind of test may vary, please check the requirements of the destination country)

Unvaccinated arrivals are obliged to undergo a 7-day mandatory self-isolation in places determined by the provincial governments. Then they have to undergo a PCR test on day seven and complete their self-isolation upon receiving a negative result.
