Can I enter Cambodia?

As of March 2022, all travelers can enter Cambodia. However, COVID-19 restrictions are in place, and they vary depending on your vaccination status.

Can I enter Cambodia if I am vaccinated?

You can enter Cambodia if you are vaccinated. You are considered fully vaccinated at least 14 days after completing your vaccination course.

At present, the following vaccine drugs are approved in Cambodia:

  • Oxford / AstraZeneca
  • Janssen (Johnson & Johnson)
  • EpiVacCorona
  • Sputnik Light (Gamaleya)
  • Sputnik V (Gamaleya)
  • KoviVac (Chumakov Center) 
  • Sinopharm (Beijing) Covilo
  • CoronaVac (Sinovac)

Travel documents if I am vaccinated 

If you are fully vaccinated, please present the following documents:

  • A document confirming your vaccination status
  • A negative PCR test result taken no more than 72 hours before arrival

In addition, fully vaccinated travelers must take a rapid antigen test upon arrival in Cambodia. They need to wait 15-30 minutes for the result and can leave the airport if it is negative.

Can I enter Cambodia if I am unvaccinated?

You can enter Cambodia if you are unvaccinated. 

Travel documents if I am unvaccinated

If you are unvaccinated, you must undergo a rapid antigen test upon entering Cambodia. If the test is negative, you can leave the airport for a designated place authorized by the Ministry of Health to undergo a mandatory 14-day period of self-isolation.

Can I leave Cambodia?

There are no tight restrictions when leaving Cambodia.

Please ensure that you’ve checked the requirements of your destination country concerning COVID-19 tests for vaccinated travelers. 

Travel documents if I am unvaccinated 

  • A certificate of recovery from COVID-19 (no more than 180 days old before the day of crossing the border of a particular country)
  • A negative COVID-19 test result (the relevant period and kind of test may vary, please check the requirements of the destination country)

Is it safe to travel to Cambodia right now?

You can travel on an aircraft to Cambodia if you follow the following COVID-19 regulations:

  • Wear masks, use hand sanitizers and practice social distancing in public places
  • Be aware that you may be asked for proof of vaccination at venues in Phnom Penh

Is Phnom Penh open for travel now?

The capital of Cambodia is open for tourists now. Please note that there are nationwide Covid restrictions in place.  

Do I have to quarantine if I go to Cambodia?

Fully vaccinated travelers are exempt from quarantine.

Unvaccinated travelers have to undergo a rapid antigen test upon entering Cambodia. If the test is negative, you can leave the airport for a designated place authorized by the Ministry of Health to undergo a mandatory 14-day period of self-isolation. You have to take a PCR test on day 13. 

How do I get a health pass to travel to Cambodia?

At present, there are no digital health passes used in Cambodia. You may carry your printed copies of all the COVID-19 documents or install the NHS COVID app to digitize your vaccination records.
