As of April 2022, there are restrictions on the issuance of Laotian visas. Please note that the information presented below concerning COVID-19 restrictions only applies if you are generally permitted to enter the country (typically, for business or family reasons).
The first thing all travelers have to do when going to Laos is to complete a Health Declaration Form.
Can I enter Laos if I am vaccinated?
You can enter Laos if you are fully vaccinated. You are considered fully vaccinated if you have had the full course of your vaccine at least 14 days before entering Laos.

Do I have to go into quarantine if I go to Laos?
All foreign arrivals are obliged to self-isolate for seven days upon arrival in Laos. They must:
- Take a COVID-19 test
- Go into quarantine at a designated facility for 48 hours until their test result comes back
If you test negative, you can continue your quarantine period at your own residence.
Business travelers who test negative can stop self-isolating, but they must wear a health monitoring device.
How do I get a health pass to travel to Laos?
All foreign arrivals are required to install and register in the LaoKYC app. This will be your health pass during your stay in Laos.
