Can I enter Tanzania?

You can enter Tanzania currently. Nevertheless, please note that some local COVID-19 restrictions are in place. Please be aware that all travelers must complete the Public Health Surveillance Form online within 24 hours before arrival in Tanzania.

Can I enter Tanzania if I am vaccinated?

You can enter Tanzania if you are vaccinated. You are considered fully vaccinated 14 days after the last dose of your vaccination schedule.

 As of April 2022, all vaccine drugs approved by the WHO are accepted in Tanzania, namely:

  • Novavax
  • Covovax
  • Moderna
  • Pfizer/BioNTech
  • Janssen (Johnson & Johnson) 
  • Oxford/AstraZeneca
  • Covishield 
  • Covaxin
  • Covilo
  • CoronaVac

You can enter Tanzania if you are unvaccinated.

Can I leave Tanzania?

You can leave Tanzania regardless of your vaccination status. Please take your time to learn the entry requirements of your destination country. Please note that returning COVID-19 conditions are the same as the entry ones for all travelers, including Tanzanians.

As of April 2022, you are not obliged to undergo quarantine upon arrival in Tanzania if you have fulfilled all the requirements listed above.

How do I get a health pass to travel to Tanzania?

Currently, all arrivals in Tanzania have to complete the Public Health Surveillance Form that can be used as a health pass.
