Anse Cocos of Seychelles takes on Veligandu Island Beach of the Maldives in the final match of the World Championship of Beaches
The Kiwi.com World Championship of Beaches is about to know the absolute winner of this year’s competition. After several rounds of dramatic matches, only two beaches remain in the running for the title of the world’s best beach.
It is your last chance to decide who will be crowned the winner. Voting starts on Sunday, June 20 at 16:00 CEST on our Instagram Stories account @kiwicom247.
You decide which one of these beaches in the Indian Ocean will emerge as the winner
Both beaches will come into the final match high on confidence. Practically neighbors on the map, these two white sandy strips abound with unparalleled beauty and elegance which has positioned them as strong candidates from the start of the championship.
The Seychelles showed its vigor when it blew away opponents from popular beach destinations like Portugal and Greece. It was given a scare in the quarter-finals by the Venezuelans who looked like they might cause an upset; luckily for the Seychellians, their beach just squeaked through by a tight score of 49.8% to 50.2%.
Looking at their opponent’s stats, the Maldivians have been making easy progress from Round 1 and all the way to the final. They have pocketed some resounding victories in the previous matches and will be a dangerous opponent in the upcoming game.
