  • American Airlines: Upgraded, high-speed Wi-Fi is available to buy on select domestic flights for $10 per flight. Monthly subscriptions are also available, and they are moving towards free access for loyalty members by 2026.
  • United Airlines : Prices vary, with unlimited access on some flights costing around $17. T-Mobile customers on eligible plans can get free or discounted access.

Airlines Offering No Wi-Fi (or very limited)

Achieved the best median download speed globally in recent tests at approximately 161 Mbps. The service is offered for free on all equipped Airbus A330 and A321neo aircraft, including trans-Pacific flights.

Qatar Airways

Ranks second with a median download speed of around 120 Mbps. The airline has been rapidly installing Starlink on its Boeing 777 and A350 fleets and is the largest carrier in the MENA region to offer this high-speed, free service.

Spirit Airlines

A surprising third-place performer in Ookla’s study for download speeds, reaching a median of 85 Mbps. This service is a paid option.
