Nickelodeon Universe theme park will become the biggest indoor park in North America

Next to Nickelodeon theme park in Bloomington, Minnesota, North America will have its biggest ever indoor park. Located in East Rutherford, New Jersey, the 8.5-acre park will feature some 35 rides which found their inspiration in the children’s network. The park will open its doors for the first time this Friday, 25 October.

Visitors can enjoy a Shellraiser roller coaster with a 122-foot drop, a Slime Stage, and characters in costumes, such as SpongeBob, Dora the Explorer, and the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

The park is part of the American Dream mega-mall, which has been open since 2003. It includes 16 enclosed acres with an observation wheel, indoor skiing, ice rink, and aquarium and water park, or a LEGOLAND Discovery Center.

LEGOLAND New York Resort

Being built about 60 miles northwest of New York, this theme park is set to become the largest LEGOLAND theme park from Merlin Entertainments. On its 150 acres across seven themed “lands”, it will feature more than 50 rides, shows, and attractions. It will also have its own 250-room hotel.

Finishing up the preparations, this LEGO®-dedicated theme park announced its grand opening for 4 July 2020.

“Buildings are going up, concrete is being poured and construction is buzzing across our site. Ride components, such as the track for our Dragon coaster, are arriving in Goshen to be installed. Our LEGO® models – more than 15,000 of them – are being shipped to our site from Merlin Magic Making workshops all over the world,” said LEGOLAND New York Public Relations Manager Matt Besterman.

It will also house the United Arab Emirates’ first dedicated marine life R4 center for research, rescue, rehabilitation, and return. One of its missions will also be to conserve and care for the local marine life.

Sesame Street Theme Park in San Diego

Scheduled for spring 2021, the second Sesame Street-themed park in the US will open in the south-western sunny San Diego. The first one opened in Philadelphia in 1980.

The 17-acre park will feature 11 water attractions, a 500,000-gallon large wave pool, and seven rides that kids can also enjoy.

What’s more, the San Diego park will open as a Certified Autism Center, just like the original park in Philadelphia.
