United Airlines has launched several new dining, snacking and beverage options that follow current food trends
After almost a year of preparations, United Airlines have made Mexican food lovers’ dream come true. To enhance their onboard Choice Menu they have introduced an egg and chorizo taco breakfast, allowing passengers to experience the delicacy while cruising 9 kilometres above the ground.
The new Mexican selection contains “scrambled eggs, chicken chorizo, Monterey Jack and Swiss American cheeses, charred chipotle salsa, and chives, in corn and flour tortillas”, the airline said.

The options will be available to customers on domestic flights that last at least three hours.
“On United’s premium transcontinental flights between Los Angeles and New York/Newark and between San Francisco and Boston and San Francisco and New York/Newark, customers will also enjoy new dessert and beverage selections. United will also become the first airline to offer Stella Artois aboard domestic and international flights this summer,” United said in a statement.

“We hope that our customers enjoy these new selections just as much as we enjoyed creating them using valuable feedback that was provided by customers and our employees.”
United worked on the taco for almost a year and tested the flavours on around 800 passengers and crew members in a survey. Their aim was to create an authentic breakfast dish.
For lunch and dinner, United has prepared barbecue chicken sandwich that features pulled smoked chicken, barbecue sauce, cheddar jack cheese and a dill pickle plank served on a focaccia roll.
United launched its new Choice Menu on 1 May 2018.
