What is the difference between the Kiwi.com Guarantee and travel insurance?

The Kiwi.com Guarantee is a unique service we offer to protect you in case of changes or cancellations caused by the carrier. We'll either book you an alternative trip or send you a refund. The Guarantee doesn't apply when you can't travel because of some other reason.

Travel insurance usually reimburses your expenses connected to health issues while traveling or cancellations due to illness, accidents, or death. It can also cover lost baggage or liability for damage. It usually doesn't offer compensation for missed connections or schedule changes.
