Traveling with liquids and gels

If you need to travel with larger containers of liquid, you can store them in your checked baggage.

Cabin baggage vs checked baggage
  • If you have a liquid or gel container smaller than 100ml, you may transport this in your cabin baggage in a clear zip-lock plastic bag.
  • Airport security will confiscate any liquid/gel containers larger than 100ml that they find in your cabin baggage
  • If you have a connecting flight, it is not advisable to purchase liquids or gels in containers larger than 100ml at the duty-free shops unless you can still access your checked baggage and pack them in there. These items may still be confiscated before boarding your next flight.
It is the passenger's responsibility to ensure they're aware of the specific policies of the airlines and airports in their trip.
