Checked baggage

Checked baggage is also known as hold or cargo luggage. It refers to anything that a passenger wants to transport in the cargo hold of the aircraft. Most people transport larger items as checked baggage, like suitcases, sports equipment, and musical instruments.

As the name suggests, you have to check this type of baggage in and you will not have access to it during the flight. If you have connecting flights, you usually need to collect and recheck your baggage between flights. You can pick up your checked baggage at the next airport from the baggage carousel.

Your checked baggage weight and dimension allowance can be found on:
Check this information carefully before flying because the airlines may charge you a fee if you exceed these dimensions.
