What’s the difference between our disruption services and travel insurance?

Our disruption services protect you in case of significant schedule changes or cancellations caused by the airline — they don't apply when you can’t travel for another reason.

Depending on the type of disruption service you have, we'll either book you an alternative trip, send you instant Kiwi.com Credit or a monetary refund, or apply for a refund from the airline on your behalf. 

Travel insurance usually reimburses your expenses connected to health issues while traveling or cancellations due to illness, accidents, or death. It can also cover lost baggage or liability for damage. It usually doesn't offer compensation for missed connections or schedule changes.
