How do I check in with the airline?

In some cases, you can check in with the airline online. In other cases, it’s only possible at the airport.

If we offer to check you in, it’s more convenient to let us do the job and simply add your details in advance. You can avoid difficulties such as paying up to €55 per passenger that some airlines charge for airport check-in.

Online check-in

Go to the airline’s website or app. If they offer online check-in for your flight, you’ll usually only need their reservation number (PNR) and your name or destination.

You can find the PNR in the itinerary detail in your trip page or in the Kiwi.com app.
Can’t access your booking with the airline?
You might not be able to check in online or log in to your booking with some airlines, for example Ryanair. This is because they require more details for online check-in and we book the trips using agency accounts or virtual contact details.

Airport check-in

Go to the check-in desk of your airline at least 2 hours before the departure for domestic flights and at least 3 hours before international flights, especially if you have checked baggage.

You’ll need to present your travel document (usually a passport or another type of ID), and the airline might also ask about your itinerary details or visa.
💡 Download the Kiwi.com app to access your itinerary offline. If the airline asks you for their reservation number (PNR), you’ll find it in your itinerary details.
Some low-cost might charge a fee to check you in. It can be as much as €55 per passenger. Check their conditions in advance to avoid unpleasant surprises.
