How do I check in for Ryanair flights?

We offer our free online check-in service for applicable Ryanair flights. Give us the necessary details up to 24h before departure, and we’ll check you in and send you your boarding passes.

Here’s how they differ from other airlines:

You might be required to verify your identity

Ryanair now requires some customers to verify their identity before check-in. We’ll alert you to this possibility before you book and pay for your trip, and will send you an email if we confirm that they’ve selected your booking for verification.

These new requirements are outside of our control, so it’s important that you complete their verification process before online check-in closes. If not, they may charge you a check-in fee, which we won’t reimburse.

You could get your boarding pass up to 2 hours before departure

Once we have your details, we’ll try to check you in as soon as Ryanair opens their online check-in. However, in some rare cases it might take longer. At the latest, you could get your boarding passes 2 hours before departure, which is when their online check-in closes.

If we don’t check you in, you might need to check in at the airport for a fee

Ryanair charges around €55 for airport check-in — per passenger.
We won’t reimburse passengers who were charged for airport check-in because they failed to complete the required identity verification. However, if your booking did not require ID verification and you provided your check-in details within our deadline (up to 24h before departure) and we failed to check you in, we’ll naturally reimburse you the fee. Check how to apply for the refund in this article.
They offer free online check-in, but you might not be able to access it on your own.
We book trips using virtual contact details, so you might not always have the details you need to access your booking with Ryanair.
