Getting from Lima city center to Lima's airport

Lima is served by one international airport: Jorge Chávez International Airport (LIM), located approximately 12 km northwest of the historic city center (Plaza Mayor). Travelers heading to the airport from Lima city center can choose from taxis, ride-hailing apps, private transfers, and public bus services. There is no direct metro or train connection to the airport at this time. Journey times vary considerably depending on traffic, which can be heavy during peak hours on the Faucett and Elmer Faucett avenues leading to the airport. Planning your airport transfer from Lima city center in advance is strongly recommended, especially during rush hours.
