Palma, Majorca travel tips
Admire the city of Palma as locals do
If you travel around Palma by car, here is an amazing plan for your evening — head to the Na Burguesa. It is the highest peak of Palma achievable by car. There is a pretty nice restaurant called Kaskai near Na Burguesa. But if you want to have a laid back time, take some snacks, like bread and cheese with olives with you and have dinner on the trunk under the stars.
Palma is a mecca for trendies
In Palma, one can find a great range of clothes starting from affordable Miu Miu to stylish Louis Vuitton. Go window shopping on the streets of Paseo del Born, San Miguel, Jaime III, and try to resist the temptation to empty your wallet. There are boutiques of such fashion houses as Louis Vuitton, Custo Barcelona, Angel Schlesser and others.
Be careful while walking Calle Quint street in Palma
Calle Quint is known amongst many Palma locals as “the street with the stupid stairs” (las escaleras tontas), since they are incredibly steep and you concentrate on whether to take the steps one, two or three at a time. Try not to hurry to avoid getting injured and sometimes raise your eyes to admire nearby buildings such as Pasatiempos, La Industrial toy shop, and La Pajarita.
