Shetland Islands travel tips
Take a ferry to Bressay Island and then a little inflatable to reach Noss. You will admire nature and some birds, such as puffins, fulmars and guillemots. From the Cradle Holm sea stack, you will open magnificent views on black-backed gulls.
To make your trip more unusual, hop on the Lilliputian passenger ferry from Leebitton and go to the tiny Isle of Mousa. Locally known as Neesiks', you can see seals and porpoises in their inhabitants eating fish.
St Ninian's beach can be in the top 20 of the most beautiful beaches in Europe. Although it looks like a wild place with turquoise water, locals are glad to have a picnic there. But do not expect supermarkets here, buy food in advance. Also, locals recommend not putting on your favourite shoes since the sand is very soft and makes the ascent while you are “sinking” in it.
