Visiting Italian Riviera

Why visit Italian Riviera

The Italian Riviera offers stunning coastal experiences. Explore vibrant cliffside villages like the Cinque Terre, famed for colorful buildings and scenic hiking trails. For glamour, visit Portofino with its picturesque harbor and luxury yachts. Genoa, the region's capital, provides historical depth through its medieval alleyways and UNESCO-listed palaces. Whether you are a beachgoer, a hiker exploring coastal paths, or a couple seeking a romantic getaway, this region delivers. Families will also find welcoming towns such as Alassio, making it a versatile destination for diverse travelers.

Plan your visit

The best times to visit are April to June or September to October, offering pleasant weather and fewer crowds than the peak summer months of July and August. Allow 5-7 days to thoroughly explore the Riviera, covering main attractions like Cinque Terre and Portofino. For wider flight options, consider flying into Milan, which connects easily by train, or Pisa for the Eastern Riviera. Genoa Cristoforo Colombo Airport is also convenient. Once there, trains and ferries are highly recommended for getting around, especially to the Cinque Terre villages, as driving can be challenging due to narrow roads and parking.

Thank you for the overall smooth process. unfortunately, my telephone inquiries about the flight from quito to san christobal on june 3rd (being checked) and june 6th (has been deposited) were not given sufficient attention because they were not entered in the avianca system, so I had to make a new booking with latam on july 1st. however, this was done very promptly and pleasantly, so that no further problems arose.
