If you need to cancel your trip

Your eligibility to cancel your trip for a refund depends on how far in advance you cancel — some time limits may apply. Your refund will depend on the ticket type you picked when booking your trip, and will either be in Kiwi.com Credit or sent back to your original form of payment.  
If you need to cancel your trip due to a medical emergency or a death, we can help request a refund from the airline. You’ll need to provide documentation — usually a medical certificate or proof of relationship with the deceased. Each airline handles these cases differently: some don’t offer refunds, others may only approve them for certain relatives or medical situations. If your refund is approved, we’ll pass on the full amount we receive.
You can also cancel directly through the airline. Their policies differ, and we can’t guarantee how much you’d receive. If they can provide you with a refund, they’ll either send it to you, or send it to us on your behalf.
