Pont de Pierre is a bridge that joins the left and right banks of the Garonne River. As one of the dozens of bridges in Bordeaux, it's 487 m long and 19 m wide. Napoleon I designed it and inaugurated the bridge in 1822. It has 17 spans, the same as the number of letters in Napoleon Bonaparte's name.
