Glasgow travel tips
If you rent a car or bike in Glasgow, please note the left-hand traffic
In Scotland, as in the rest of the UK, they have left-hand traffic. In addition, the cars are equipped with a manual transmission, and the traffic in the centre of Glasgow is quite busy, and there are few parking spaces. So, renting a car may not be a comfortable option unless you’re an experienced driver and will travel beyond Glasgow.
Board the Tall Ship, Glenlee in Glasgow
The Tall Ship is berthed behind the Riverside Museum in Glasgow. It is one of the few Clyde-built ships still afloat and only one that is currently in the United Kingdom. Glenlee was built in the Victorian era and used to be a bulk cargo carrier and a training vessel before becoming a museum. The ship is free to enter.
Stop at The Boy Wizard shop in Glasgow if you are a Harry Potter fan
Many tourists come to Scotland to see the locations where Harry Potter was filmed. If you haven't been to Edinburgh's stores dedicated to the boy who lived yet, check out The Boy Wizard (49-53 Union Street) in Glasgow. There you can buy wands, scarves, and other Hogwarts-related items.
