Go to the Parque de Cabo Mayor to admire the beauty of the saviour Santander coastline
The park is a great place to walk along the picturesque cliffs overlooking the Bay of Biscay. Buy some ice cream and savour the stroll, pausing to take some great pictures for your Instagram. At the end of your journey, you will see the Cabo Mayor Lighthouse, one of the most important lighthouses in the area. Built in 1839, it is over 30 meters high. If you want to find out more about it, there is a specialised museum inside.
Mind the siesta in Santander
Try not to plan anything between 14:00 and 17:00 in Santander, except eating and relaxing. You will surely find at least some shops open the whole day in a modern city.
