Pamplona is a stop on the Camino de Santiago, the pilgrimage trail of almost 500 miles across Spain. Even if you are not into pilgrim hiking, you have a chance to see the plagues and markers on the streets in Pamplona by pilgrims who’ve walked there before. Challenge yourself and try to find as many plagues and markers as possible.

San Fermin Festival takes place from 6 July through to 14 July every year. San Fermin is a local Saint, and this holiday is one of the most popular in Spain. Starting from the 6th of July, locals pour Sangria and buckets of water on the people from the balconies. If you don’t like the idea of getting wet, we recommend buying a rain cover. If you like such fun, get a local San Fermin outfit (a white shirt, white pants/skirt, a red sash, and a red neck-scarf) and throw it away after being soaked with Sangria.

You can get to Bilbao from Pamplona in about 2 hours, but the drive is worth it. In the Guggenheim museum, you will enjoy modern art with interactive exhibits with light and colour. If you have a mobile phone with wireless earplugs, you can download the museum app and better understand the story of each room and exhibit, especially if you’re not so much into art.
