Tenerife travel tips

1) Delight in El Drago Milenario, the oldest and largest specimen of the dragon tree, in Parque del Drago

If you happen to travel along the northeast of Tenerife, you should drive through the town of Icod de los Vinos. The thing to visit here is a thousand-year-old dracaena. In Spanish, it’s called El Drago Milenario, and it grows in the park del Drago with lots of other nice plants and a spectacular view of the huge dracaena. Even if you are not a big fan of flora, you will definitely like this place. In case of getting hungry, call on a lovely cafe near the exit of the park.

2) Look for unique items at Los Cristianos Street Market

Los Cristianos is a resort town where the huge bustling street market takes place. It’s famous for unique second-hand items, for example, exclusive vinyl records, antiques, and home decorations. The market is located on Los Cristianos beach, not far from Arona Gran Hotel. Head there from 9:00 to 15:00 on Sunday and Tuesday. Find something worthy, and don’t forget to bargain!

3) Head for Santa Cruz de Tenerife to do the shopping

You will find all the big brands and shops available in Spain in the island’s capital, Santa Cruz de Tenerife. For instance, Carrefour and Primark are in the Meridiano Shopping Centre. Besides, Auchan, El Corte Ingles, and IKEA are also present in the city. Have a successful shopping trip!
