Carre d'Or is an elegant quarter of Nice, 5 minutes walk from the sea. Here you can admire the Maria Cristina Palace, stroll through the picturesque Albert Gardens, and go shopping in expensive boutiques.

Mont Boron is a picturesque area of Nice, almost bordering the neighbouring town of Villefranche-sur-Mer. The area is spread over a hilly area with lush Mediterranean vegetation. It was here that singer Elton John built a villa for himself — it is called Castel Mont-Alban. Walking past the villa, you may well see one of the celebrities — Elton John himself or his guests.

Place Massena is the busiest place in the city and the main square. The red ocher buildings on the square were built in the 17th century. You will also see a fountain in the square, created by Alfred Janniot in 1956. There is a 7-meter-high statue of Apollo in the very centre, framed by sculptures of the main gods of ancient mythology. Locals and tourists pass around, and almost any cultural event (exhibitions, art installations, etc.) occurs here.
