Just west of the city lies Skaneateles Lake, and there are daily one-hour boat trips that reveal the history of the lake and take passengers to see some of the shoreside homes. The Stickley Museum in Fayetteville reveals the lasting legacy of the Stickley brothers, with many pieces of their furniture on display and interesting information about its significance. The Stickley Museum is open on Tuesdays 11:30 a.m — 5.00 p.m. and Saturdays 10.00 — 5.00 p.m.

Surrounded by buildings in a wealth of different architectural styles, Clinton Park is a popular place to visit all year through. During the summer months, there are dancing fountains and a variety of events and festivals, while in the winter months, you can enjoy ice skating. Clinton Square is named after DeWitt Clinton, who was the key person behind the creation of the Erie Canal.
