1) Be careful! Do not smash the “World's smallest park” walking around Oakland
When you walk around Shattuck Avenue in Oakland, watch out for a 30-cm-by-30-cm plot of grass; this is the “World`s smallest park.” It has a miniature swing set, slide, see-saw, and a bench. Are you attentive enough to find it?
2) Buy some wine at Minimo in Oakland and enjoy it on site
Located at 420 3rd Street in Oakland, the Minimo shop is a must-visit for wine connoisseurs. They sell natural wines and ciders from small, independent producers. If you want to sit down at the communal table, bear in mind you can open bottles over $20 for free.
3) Get lost at the Dunsmuir mansion
The Dunsmuir mansion is located in an expansive valley of Oakland Hills. This gorgeous building has a Tiffany-style dome, 37 rooms, wood-paneled reception halls, and 10 fireplaces. Try to see each room , they are all amazing! End up walking in the garden. Bring some water and snacks with you; you will not find good stores here.
