Combining history and good entertainment, the Charleston Music Hall is a popular concert venue. The building was once a depot for the railroad before it closed during the Great Depression. Later it was converted into a music hall and, over the years, has hosted performances by many top entertainers.

It is a sad fact of life that there was once a huge slave trade in the south, and the Old Slave Mart was used as an auction house until November 1863. Today, it is one of only a few such buildings that exist, and it has been turned into a museum where visitors can learn the sad and distressing stories of some of the thousands of slaves that were auctioned there.
