Transfer from Madrid-Barajas airport to the city centre is one of the cheapest in Europe
The shuttle bus ride will cost 5 euro for 20-30 minutes. The yellow busses run round-the-clock. The bus stops at Plaza de Cibeles in the city centre, near the Prado museum, and passes through the Atocha train station.
Head to the Thyssen-Bornemisza Museum to admire paintings by Van Gogh and Marc Chagall
Museo Thyssen-Bornemisza has collected paintings by famous artists from the 13th to the 20th century, including El Greco, Van Gogh, Marc Chagall, and others. Almost all styles of art are represented here, from the Renaissance to the avant-garde. The ticket costs 10 euro, and on Monday from 12:00 to 16:00 you can enter for free.
