The Imperial Chapel in 1864 became the private chapel of Napoleon III and his wife, Empress Eugenie de Montijo. The chapel was built in a combination of Roman-Byzantine and Spanish-Moorish styles. In March, November, and December, it is open on Saturdays only from 14:30 to 17:00. In April, May, and October, the chapel is open an hour longer. From June to September (tourist season), the chapel is open on Thursdays and Saturdays from 14:30 to 18:00. The entrance costs 3 euro.

The Basque Country, to which Biarritz belongs, is called the birthplace of French golf. The first golf course in Biarritz appeared in 1888. It is still in operation today and is called Le Fare. There are now 16 golf courses in the region, and the Biarritz Cup, the largest amateur golf tournament in France, is held here every June.
