London travel tips

1) Renting a car in London is not a good idea due to high prices and restrictions

There is a charge to enter central London by car. A single-ride fee is £ 11.5 (€ 14). In addition, there is often nowhere to park in the city centre, and the fine for incorrect parking is £80 (€93). Moreover, it is forbidden to park for more than 2-4 hours, even in paid parking lots.

2) Don’t miss London's most famous square, Trafalgar Square

Trafalgar Square is located at the intersection of Westminster Whitehall, Strand, and Mall streets. In its centre, there is a monument to Admiral Nelson. You will find several other London landmarks in the square: St Martin's Church, London National Gallery, and the Admiralty Arch.

3) Start your day in London with a traditional English breakfast

The British prefer to have breakfast with rather fatty, fried food – if you do not like food like this in the morning, it is better not to book a hotel with breakfasts. Classic scrambled eggs with bacon, toast, and jam are a great start to the day. Eggs also have a special place in the morning menu: Scottish style, with minced meat in breadcrumbs, and eggs Benedict. And, of course, oatmeal is served for breakfast in London cafes.
