Joan Miró was a Spanish painter and sculptor from Barcelona. Fundació Joan Miró has the largest collection of his surrealist works. It includes over 10,000 items: drawings, paintings, sculptures, carpets, and stage designs. The earliest drawings were created in 1901. The museum’s rooftop terrace offers not only colourful sculptures but also a splendid view of the city.

The museum is located in a medieval shipyard. That alone makes it worth a visit. Here you can see how the ships were built several centuries ago.
