Both languages are official in Barcelona. Surely, in a city visited by millions of tourists each year, many locals understand English. Go to Barcelona Aquarium — one of the largest aquariums in the world
Aquarium Barcelona houses more than 11,000 water-dwelling animals, representing over 450 species. Its Oceanarium-water tank is 36 metres in diameter and 5 metres deep. It has an 80-meter glass tunnel, allowing you to see its inhabitants clearly. The visitors with diver certification can even dive there and swim among sharks! Barcelona Aquarium is a nice place to visit, especially to wait out a spell of bad weather.
Climb the Spanish Civil War fortifications to get a great view of Barcelona
The Carmel Bunkers is located at the top of Turó de la Rovira in the Carmel neighbourhood. During the Spanish Civil War (1936 — 1939), anti-aircraft guns were installed here (no bunkers, however). Having climbed to this place, you can get a 360º view of Barcelona from the height of 262 meters!
