There are two tariffs for all types of public transport — day and night. The latter comes in force after 23:00 and till 5:00. Mind that the fare increases 2-3 times at night. Nevertheless, coming back from late drinks at a bar in such a way, it’s still cheaper than to take a taxi.

Be careful about taking a taxi, especially around the train station. Make sure it is distinctly marked, has a rate card and a counter. Otherwise, your taxi trip can be a rip-off! If you want to pay with a credit card, ask beforehand if that is an option. Note that from 22:00 till 6:00 you'll have to pay a night tariff. Prices are also higher on Sundays and for travelling outside the city borders.
