London travel tips

1) Arrive at Heathrow Airport in advance — you can use the bus, train, or underground

Heathrow Airport is located within the city, 24 kilometres west of central London. It is one of the largest airports in the world and has 5 terminals. Many tourists get lost in its huge buildings, so you need to arrive in advance. You can take the National Express bus (about £6 or €7), the train (from Paddington Station for £25 or €30), and the Tube — in this case, you need the Piccadilly Line.

2) Wander around Shoreditch, a hipster hotspot in London

The northern part of the City of London is home to the kingdom of street art and installations. The streets filled with stylish and originally dressed passers-by are full of bohemian cafes, falafel, and burger spots. Check out Shoreditch's hipster market – Spitalfields, shop on Brick Lane for designer clothing stores or relax at Café Crete in Christ Church.

3) The best part of any meal in a cafe in London is an English dessert

Traditional English cuisine would not be complete without the trifle, the famous dessert. Trifle is made from biscuit dough (often dipped in sherry or wine) with custard. You can also order crispy waffles or сronut – a croissant with a doughnut in one, which is best cooked at Rinkoffs Bakery: with chocolate, raspberries, or pistachios.
