Lanzarote travel tips
1) Prepare some small money for tipping in Lanzarote
Tips of 5-10% are always expected and appreciated in Lanzarote's restaurants after a big meal. However, if you just pop in for a drink, it’s normal to leave a very small change, even less than 1 euro. Anyway, most restaurants don’t provide the option to add a tip to the total card payment, so you’ll need to make sure you have some cash with you.
2) Check unusual Lagomar Cave bar in Lanzarote
If you are looking for something unique, head to Calle los Loros, 2, and find Lagomar Cave bar. This bar is situated around a pool in a cave in an old quarry. There is no special menu, but the unusual location makes this place worth visiting. Take a seat, order a cocktail and enjoy the chillout tunes.
3) Explore the Atlantic ocean in Lanzarote with Catlanza
You can admire both the city and ocean with a Catlanza trip. They have two types of sailing – an adults-only option, for the perfect chillout, and a kids option where families can have the time of their lives sailing The Atlantic. The 25-metre catamaran Catlanza sails twice daily in summer and once a day in the winter months from the fabulous marina at Puerto Calero. You will have a stunning trip round to Papagayo beaches and anchor off-shore where lunch is served, drinks are on tap, and everyone can have a go on a Jet Ski or borrow snorkelling equipment and check out the sea life.
