Meet Monty!
If you are interested in the native people of Tennessee and would like to meet Monty, the 24-foot long bronze skeleton of a hadrosaurus (duck-billed dinosaur), a visit to the McClung Museum of Natural History and Culture is a ‘must’! Hadrosaurus used to live in the coastal zones of Tennessee. The museum is open Monday — Saturday 09.00 — 5.00 pm. and Sunday 1.00-5.00pm and is situated on the university campus. Entrance and parking are free.

The Ice Chalet is a great place to go ice skating for all the family, and if you are keen to learn how to skate, there are a variety of lessons available each week. At Christmastime, it is popular as the annual Nutcracker on ice has become a part of local festivities. The Ice Chalet opened in 1962 and has been hosting a variety of ice sports, such as curling and hockey, ever since.
Go bird watching at Beverley Park
If you enjoy bird watching or spotting different wildflowers, the two short trails at Beverley Park are fun. Each trail is just 0.6 miles in length and takes walkers through woodland and past the junior golf course. Everyone can enjoy the trails as they are easy with only slight hills, and one of the trails is paved.
