Málaga travel tips
1) A night bus may help you to get home even after midnight in Málaga | There are three night bus routes cruising the main streets of Málaga. N1 runs from Puerta Blanca in the western part of the city to El Palo in the east. N2 has a long circular route, driving through almost all districts in the northern part of the city. N4 starts its journey in the centre (Alameda Principal), arriving at Puerto de la Torre in the west of Málaga via Teatinos. Buses run from 23:00-00:00 till 5:00-6:00 every 30-70 minutes depending on the route. |

2) Visit the Santos Mártires Church, one of the oldest in Málaga | Built in the 15th-16th centuries in honour of San Ciriaco and Santa Paula, the patron saints of Málaga, this church houses five canonical brotherhoods. That is a record number for the local churches. The building has the Gothic-Mudéjar style with Rococo elements, added during the 18th-century renovation. Its interior with the beautiful images of saints and the Neo-Baroque altarpiece is breathtaking. There is no entrance fee, but a small donation will be appreciated. |
3) There are few public toilets in the centre of Málaga | Numerous WCs on the seafront are open from 10:00 till 20:00. Note that there are not many of them in the city centre. Remember to make the most of the cafes and bars you visit. Besides, you can look for toilets in the central car parks and at the El Corte Inglés, a large shopping centre. Extra tip: have some toilet paper with you; public WCs may run out of it. |
