A Coruña travel tips
At Aquarium Finisterre, you’ll have the opportunity to view Atlantic Ocean marine species in a modern, educational setting. Aquarium Finisterre is open from January 2nd to April 30th, Monday through Friday from 10:00 to 18:00, and weekends 11:00 to 20:00; May 1st to June 30th, Monday through Friday 10:00 to 19:00, and weekends 11:00 to 20:00; July 1st to August 30th, every day 10:00 to 21:00. General admission is €10. The parking is free of charge.
The park at the top is an excellent place to catch silent sunset views over the ocean. If you want to avoid the climb, you can drive or take the panoramic elevator from sea level. We also recommend visiting the restaurant Arbore da Veira — one of the best restaurants in Coruna. By the way, they offer a la carte or two set menus: a short (8+2 dishes for 55 euro) and a long one (12+3 for 75 euro).
One of the Belas Artes museum highlights is the remarkable collection of sketches by Francisco Goya. The Museo de Belas Artes da Coruña is located in a modern building that is part of the ancient monastery — Rúa Zalaeta 2. Pay a visit to have a comprehensive view of European art from the 16th to the 20th centuries and works from modern Galician artists. There is also a guide in English, and admission is free.
