1) Take sun protection products and insect repellent to feel comfortable in Gran Canaria
If your main travel target is to get great tan spending most of your time on the beach, don’t forget to take sun protection products. If you are obsessed with hiking in the picturesque mountain area, insect repellent will come in handy. Take also a couple of warm clothes. A raincoat is also a must. As in the mountains, precipitation can appear almost every day. Forewarned — forearmed.
2) Practise surfing on the paradise spot, the urban coast of Las Palmas
It is a well-known fact that the Canary Islands are a surfers’ paradise. All coastal conditions are made for perfect surfing. Las Palmas region is suitable for more experienced surfers as waves here can reach heights of five metres. There are surf schools which will help you eagerly to ride the waves. Moreover, the prices are quite affordable even for tourists with a limited budget.
3) Check free days in museums of Las Palmas
Most museums in Gran Canaria are free of charge for everybody on the first Sunday of every month. There are also some particular days throughout the year when admission is free. Don’t be lazy to check the days of free entrance on the websites of museums. Challenge your luck, so to say!
