Barcelona travel tips
The official tourist pass of Barcelona offers unlimited free travel by public transport (including getting to and from the airport), free entry to popular museums and more than 70 deals and discounts. Thus, you can tour, shop, dine and enjoy local nightlife cheaper. The card is sold at the tourist information offices, but the online purchase will help to save a few extra euro. The prices start at €46.00 per person for a 72-hour option.
Even though you can easily buy a beer on the street, public drinking is illegal in Barcelona. If the police spot you doing it in a public place, the one-euro drink will cost you several dozens of euro in fine. Respect the law and drink responsibly!
Credit cards are almost universally accepted in Barcelona. If you need any cash, you can get it from ATMs. However, make sure to check the overseas charges of your card before the trip. A couple of dozens of euro in cash and some small change will be enough to keep you comfortable.
