Warsaw travel tips
1) Get impressed by a laser show at Warsaw Multimedia Fountain Park
Multimedia Fountain Park, with its 3,000 square metre pond, lies not far from the Old Town. Its fountains are synchronised with almost 300 LED lights and a laser projector. This system produces stunning visual effects, such as Warsaw’s iconic mermaid swimming through the water. Even more impressive are the films projected onto the water wall, accompanied by the music from the surrounding speakers. Note that those multimedia shows are very popular, so you should come earlier to get the best views.
2) Choose zloty while making purchases with a credit card in Warsaw
Credit cards are widely accepted in Warsaw. Nonetheless, there is a hint. If you are asked what currency you want to be charged in, it is better to choose zloty. Otherwise, you will also have to pay a fee for handling the transaction. Besides, the exchange rate is likely to be far from perfect. If you use your card a lot, the costs may pile up.
3) Meet the merger of two cultures at the King John III's Palace at Wilanow in the suburbs of Warsaw
The Wilanow Palace is considered to be one of the oldest and most remarkable museums with a great collection of objects of Eastern European and Western European art. The paintings, sculptures, and interior items presented in this museum were collected by the palace owners, kings of Poland – John III Sobieski and Augustus II, and representatives of Polish noble families.
