Málaga travel tips
This 33-hectare island of greenery, located near the Málaga Cathedral, dates back to the 19th century. Colourful flowers, fountains, and numerous parrots chirping in the palm trees create a leisurely atmosphere. A wonderful place to take a break from your exploration of the city!
Málaga and Granada, another large city in southern Spain, are located not far from each other — 120km or 1,5-2 hour ride. The cheapest, fastest, and most convenient travel option is to take a bus. The one-way trip will cost you €12. Granada has some interesting sights to offer, including the famous Moorish Alhambra palace, the historic districts of Albayzin and Sacromonte. A great option is you have some time to spare!
This institution, the largest museum of the Andalucia region, is two museums in one. It unites the collections of the Provincial Archaeology Museum and the Museum of Fine Arts. The former has some 15,000 items, dating from the 8th century to the Middle Ages. The latter can boast around 2,000 artworks created in the 19th-20th centuries. The museum is located in the Neo-Classic Aduana Palace, constructed more than 200 years ago. A nice place to explore on a rainy (or exceptionally hot) day.
