Booking self-transfer itineraries that include Ryanair

Kiwi.com and Ryanair have an exclusive partnership, which means that our booking process for Ryanair flights is different than with other airlines.

For self-transfer itineraries, we combine flights from different carriers to get you the lowest prices, which makes our booking process a bit more complex.

There is a new booking process for Ryanair flights and there are some changes to how you can manage your trip after booking.

When booking an itinerary that includes flights operated by Ryanair, you’ll be asked to confirm your Ryanair flights after you pay. It’s a simple process, and you’ll be redirected to the Ryanair website once you complete your payment. Check your flights and tap Confirm.

While you confirm your flights, we’ll secure the price of the trip and hold your payment.

If you don’t complete the flight confirmation step within 30 minutes, your booking will be canceled and your payment will be refunded.

As soon as you complete the confirmation step, we’ll book your trip with the airlines. Kiwi.com will send a confirmation of the other parts of your trip, and Ryanair will send you an email with the booking confirmation for that portion of your itinerary. They’ll also send instructions on how to link your flights to your Ryanair account, which you can do by simply logging in or creating a Ryanair account using the same email as you used to book the flights on Kiwi.com.

Be sure to use the same email, or your flights won’t be linked to your Ryanair account and you won’t be able to access them.

Once your booking is confirmed, if you need to make any changes to your trip or manage the Ryanair portion of your booking, log in to your account on Ryanair.com. For all other airlines, log in to your account on Kiwi.com to make changes.

For all special assistance requests on Ryanair flights, such as those for people with reduced mobility or family seating, please contact Ryanair directly. For requests on all other airlines, please contact Kiwi.com.

If you’re adding bags, make sure that you have the same type and weight of bags on all of your flights. If you only add bags through your Kiwi.com account, your Ryanair flights will not automatically have those bags added, and you’ll have to pay higher prices at the airport to travel with your bags.

Important info and trip updates will be sent by both Ryanair and Kiwi.com, so be sure to read all emails regarding your trip.

Because your trip is covered by Disruption Protection, if your trip is disrupted, you’ll be able to find solutions, such as alternative flights or a refund, on your Kiwi.com account. We’ll send you an email with instructions and our customer support will be standing by to assist you.

For Ryanair flights, if your flight is canceled by Ryanair, you will get a refund from Kiwi.com, as that is who you booked through, and who received your payment. You’ll be able to submit a refund request on your bookings page in your Kiwi.com account. However, if you added bags or seats post-booking directly with Ryanair, they will refund you the cost of any items bought on their website.
