Get lost on the beautiful Old Town streets of Gdansk
Don’t hesitate to turn somewhere and get lost for a bit. Start your walking tour from the main street, Dluga, then — Dlugi Targ up to the Royal Way. The streets of Old Town are awesome because of their sophisticated architecture. Then reach the Motlawa River Embankment and be ready to catch your jaw, as it is jaw-dropping indeed! Colourful refined houses glass in the water. Both sides of the river are wrapped up with fancy shops and cosy restaurants. Visit some as a meal by the water tastes superb!
See the historical buildings of Puck near Gdansk
The small town of Puck, which is an hour ride from Gdansk, attracts surfing or fishing enthusiasts. However, the town itself is also worth seeing. It has a long history, which is proved by the 13th-century church, remnants of a 14th-century brick castle, 19th-century town hall, and houses. A flooded port some 500 metres from the shore may be more than a thousand years old!
Visit Poland’s Stonehenge near Gdansk
A small village of Odry, which is 90 km from Gdansk, is famous for its mysterious stone circles ('Kamienne Kręgi'). There are 12 of them, each with a large stone at the centre surrounded by 16-29 boulders. Those structures may have been built 2,000 years ago! You shouldn’t expect anything as glorious as the famous Stonehenge. However, if you really appreciate the mystery of such places — Odry is a must-visit.
