Flex fare ticket

Get flexibility to change your flight, get a refund, and more

When you book your flight, you’ll get the option to choose between Basic, Standard, and Flex fare tickets.

The Flex fare is good for travelers who want the flexibility to change or cancel their flight.

It includes automatic check-in, Premium customer support, trip rescheduling, and refundable trip.

Automatic check-in

We’ll check you in automatically for your flights. In cases where we are unable to complete check-in for one or more of the flights on your itinerary, we will provide you with everything you need to do it yourself.

Premium customer support

You’ll have the shortest wait time for customer support, and skip the customers with Basic and Plus Services in the queue. You’ll also have no processing fee for any additional services (such as adding baggage, seating or changing traveler details) that you purchase after completing your booking.

On the day of travel, priority will be determined based on how close  to departure each caller is, helping those who are traveling soonest.

Trip rescheduling

If you purchase the reschedule your trip option, you can change the dates of your trip up to 48 hours before your first departure, or up to 4 hours before if you bought tickets less than a week before departure.

You can also change the carrier you are traveling with – the only things that have to stay the same are the origin and destination.

Any trip changes must be made for all passengers on the itinerary.

If the new ticket costs the same or less than your existing ticket, it will be free. If it costs more than your existing ticket, you only have to pay the difference.

Let's say you bought a ticket for €200. You'd like to change it, and find a new ticket for €180. In this case, you could change your trip and get the new ticket without having to pay anything. But if your new ticket were to cost €250, you'd have to pay the €50 difference between the old ticket and the new ticket.
It is only possible to change your trip once. Any additional changes have to be made through our Customer Service agents and will cost the full price of the ticket.

Refundable trip

You can cancel your trip up to 48 hours before the journey. We don't offer partial cancellations, so it's only possible to cancel the whole itinerary for all passengers.

If you cancel, you’ll get back 80% of the ticket costs (this includes the ticket fare, seating & baggage fees, and the prices of any other services offered by the carrier that you purchase).

If you buy a ticket for €200 with baggage for €50 and refundable trip for €100, you would get €200 back if you choose to cancel your trip.
You can choose how to receive it — either as a monetary refund or in Kiwi.com Credit.

What if I don’t purchase the Flex fare?

If you choose the Basic fare option, you’ll still get automatic check-in and Basic customer support, but you will have limited reschedule and refund options.

To reschedule your trip, you’ll have to pay the full price of the new booking. This is because all date changes involve canceling the original ticket and purchasing a new one.

You can still cancel your trip with us up to 48 hours before the journey. For tickets without the refundable trip, we’ll keep the recovered refunds as the cancellation fee. If your booking cost more than €20, you’ll get a €10 refund in Kiwi.com Credit.

Can I cancel with the carriers directly?

You might choose not to cancel your ticket with us, and go directly to the carriers. But their policies and the way we book trips vary, so it might not always be possible to get a refund.
If you successfully claim a refund from the carriers, they might send it to our bank account — in that case, please let us know, to make the process faster. We’ll forward it to you unless you’ve already requested a refund from us.

You’ll find the details in section 5 of our Terms & Conditions.
